Professor Damian Hughes is the author of six best-selling books, including Liquid Thinking, Liquid Leadership, How to Change Absolutely Anything and How to Think Like Sir Alex Ferguson. A specialist in ‘change’, he takes the psychological methods used by great achievers and shows, in easy steps, how individuals can adopt them into their own life and business.
Damian particularly enjoys using the inspirational messages identified in his books within key-note presentations, team events and one-to-one coaching. As well as consulting with a range of businesses and leaders on change management he also works as a sports psychologist for Sale Sharks, West Bromwich Albion, France Rugby League, Warrington Wolves, England and GB Rugby League teams. Damian runs a Manchester inner-city youth club, Collyhurst and Moston which has helped young people find a purpose in their lives, with notable achievements including Olympic medal success.
Damian was appointed as a Professor of Organisational Psychology and Change for Manchester Metropolitan University in September 2010, and was also nominated for the 2007 William Hill Sports book of the year award for Peerless, his biography of boxing great Sugar Ray Robinson. In 2013, his latest biography, Marvelous Marvin Hagler became the UK’s best selling sports biography.
