Stuart is interested in the people aspects which make businesses competitive in their market place. He blends an understanding of commercial context with a deep set of expertise in understanding the strengths and development needs of senior leaders. This is complemented by his knowledge of how performance coaching techniques can get the best out of individuals.

He works with a wide range of clients, led many significant talent management projects and has a strong set of international experience. Stuart is also part of Wickland Westcott’s Board Evaluation practice and has worked on a number of main board evaluations. Finally, he is a member of its management team.

Prior to consulting, his career was spent with Dixons Group (now Dixons Carphone), where he was a member of the senior HR team, British Airways and the Ministry of Defence. His first roles at the Ministry of Defence and British Airways focused on providing a psychological input to military flying training and pilot selection.

He is a Chartered Psychologist with a degree in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and a Masters degree in Occupational Psychology from Queen’s University, Belfast.

Colin is CEO of the business. He joined Wickland Westcott in 1994 prior to which he was a member of BT’s Business Psychology Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree (with Distinction) in Occupational Psychology. He is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and fully qualified in psychometrics.

His clients include market-leading organisations in telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, education and private equity. He operates at senior level in the areas of executive assessment and development. He has a particular interest in the operation and development of professional service firms. Colin frequently leads human capital due diligence assignments, and enjoys helping businesses grow and prosper. As an experienced coach with deep expertise in development and learning, he works with top teams to optimise their effectiveness and create a high-performance culture. Most of all, as a leader himself he understands the excitement, the challenges, the responsibility and the loneliness that leadership entails, and he has a particular passion for helping leaders thrive in volatile times.
